It's Revolutionary! Event and Exhibit -- Secretly and Covertly: Cannon Cast in Sharon MA

• Celebrate the Semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States

• Hear the talk and see the exhibit about the untold and unexplored story of Sharon's Stoughtonham Furnace that produced munitions for the Revolution:   

-Technical details  (location, design, manufacturing process)

-When, why, and by whom it was built and run

-Its impact on the Revolutionary War

-The ultimate fate of the forge and its operators

 -What was learned in archeological dig in the 1980s. 

• Gather information that will help you and your family 

-Participate in two Fall It's Revolutionary events --  a town-wide Scavenger Hunt and a Trivia Night

-Create something for the “Reflections on the Revolution: A Call to All” Exhibition at 16 High Street in December --  a display of works of any type such as visual art, photography, poetry,  prose, music, videography, crafts, etc. depicting the events and people or expressing the meaning of the Declaration of Independence and the creation of the United States.  Contributor's  work will be documented and digitally preserved for the benefit of future historians and history lovers.

The Stoughtonham Furnace Exhibit  will be on display through the Fall and can also be viewed during our normal Open Hours:

2 - 4   Fridays

1 - 4   Saturdays

3 - 5    Sundays
