The Boston Tea Party gave birth to our nation
In 1773 the Tea Party participants fought for the Right to vote, for Freedom of Speech and No Taxation without Representation. Nine years later, Deborah Samson followed their lead and joined the Continental Army as Robert Shurtliff.

Listen to the music of the Continental Army
Learn about the Patriots who staged the rebellious action
and
VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE TEA PARTY PARTICIPANT TO ENTER THE DRAWING FOR A TEA PARTY CENTER PIECE.
A little after 1:30 our State Representative Ted Phillips and members of the Selectboard will there to read the Governor’s Proclamation celebrating Deborah, and present it to the Historical Society and the Town.
