      <title>It's Revolutionary! Graves of Revolutionary War Patriots –The Fame, the Shame but not Mundane! @Rock Ridge (05/17/2026)</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Open Sans, sans-serif"&gt;Celebrate the Semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States by hearing about the&amp;nbsp;commonly known as well as the untold and unexplored stories&amp;nbsp;of the Sharon Patriots who served in the Revolutionary War and are buried in Rock Ridge Cemetery.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#373737" face="Open Sans, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px;"&gt;S&lt;/font&gt;&lt;font color="#373737" face="Open Sans, sans-serif" style="font-size: 15px;"&gt;haron Public Library Archivist Arielle Nathanson will give a presentation about Cemetery Art.&amp;nbsp; The group will then proceed to Rock Ridge where Sharon Historical Society volunteers will deliver short biographies at the gravesite of each Patriot and Ms. Nathanson will point out examples of the art she described.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;font face="Aptos, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;(Parking at Rock Ridge Cemetery is suggested on Paul Revere Street or along the side of a cemetery road.)&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;

      <title>It's Revolutionary! A No Tea Party to Celebrate Deborah Sampson Day (05/23/2026)</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Open Sans, sans-serif"&gt;Celebrate the Semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States and Deborah Sampson Day in Massachusetts&amp;nbsp; by attending a "No Tea Party"&amp;nbsp; at the HIstorical Society.&amp;nbsp; Enjoy lively discussion, learn about the Tea Party patriots,&amp;nbsp; enjoy tea substitutes imbibed during the Revolutionary era,&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;George Washington's traditional birthday cake, and other delectables from the era and be entertained by revoltionary tunes performed by Sharon High School students.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Open Sans&amp;quot;, sans-serif;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-bottom: 0px !important;"&gt;This event will include&amp;nbsp; a chance to view related exhibits. There will also be time for a &amp;nbsp;creative activity -- an “in studio opportunity” to create items for the “Reflections on the Revolution: A Call to All” &amp;nbsp;Exhibition at 16 High Street in June.&amp;nbsp; This show &amp;nbsp;will display the works &amp;nbsp;of those &amp;nbsp;who have chosen to express, in their preferred medium, their views of the Revolutionary events and figures. &amp;nbsp;We are seeking &amp;nbsp;visual art, photography, poetry, &amp;nbsp;prose, music, videography, crafts, or any combination of these or other&amp;nbsp;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;expressive techniques. &amp;nbsp;Contributor's work will be documented and digitally preserved for the benefit of future historians and history lovers.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px;"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-top: 0px !important;"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The exhibits will be in place through May and can also be viewed during normal open hours:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>It's Revolutionary! Event and Exhibit -- Secretly and Covertly: Cannon Cast in Sharon MA (07/23/2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="https://www.sharonhistorical.org/resources/Pictures/ColonialIronforge.png" alt="" title="" border="0"&gt;&lt;font face="Open Sans, sans-serif"&gt;Celebrate the Semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States by hearing about t&lt;/font&gt;&lt;font color="#373737" face="Open Sans, sans-serif"&gt;he&lt;/font&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;font&gt;commonly known as well as the untold and unexplored story of&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Open Sans&amp;quot;, sans-serif;"&gt;Sharon's Stoughtonham Furnace that produced cannon and cannonballs for the Revolution.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp; The talk presents its technical details &amp;nbsp;(location, design, manufacturing process), its history (when, why, and by whom it was built and run, its impact on the Revolutionary War and the ultimate fate of the forge and its operators), and what was learned through an archeological dig in the 1980s.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This Exhibition will display the works &amp;nbsp;of those &amp;nbsp;who have chosen to express, in their preferred medium, their views of the Revolutionary events and figures. &amp;nbsp;We are seeking &amp;nbsp;visual art, photography, poetry, &amp;nbsp;prose, music, videography, crafts, or any combination of these or other&amp;nbsp;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;expressive techniques. &amp;nbsp;Contributor's work will be documented and digitally preserved for the benefit of future historians and history lovers.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
