It's Revolutionary! Rock Ridge Cemetery Tour of Revolutionary Soldier's Graves (05/17/2026)

Celebrate the Semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States by hearing about the commonly known as well as the untold and unexplored stories of the Sharon Patriots who served in the Revolutionary War and are buried in Rock Ridge Cemetery.

This event will start with a presentation at the Sharon HIstorical Society on 16 HIgh Street, and be followed by a tour of the cemetery. Each soldier's story will be told by a volunteer stationed at the grave.

It's Revolutionary! A No Tea Party to Celebrate Deborah Sampson Day (05/23/2026)

Celebrate the Semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States and Deborah Sampson Day in Massachusetts by attending a "No Tea Party" at the HIstorical Society. Enjoy lively discussion, tea substitutes imbibed during the Revolutionary era, George Washington's traditional birthday cake, and other delectables from the times.

This event will include a chance to view related exhibits. There will also be time for a creative activity -- an “in studio opportunity” to create items for the “Reflections on the Revolution: A Call to All” Exhibition at 16 High Street in June. This show will display the works of those who have chosen to express, in their preferred medium, their views of the Revolutionary events and figures. We are seeking visual art, photography, poetry, prose, music, videography, crafts, or any combination of these or other expressive techniques. Contributor's work will be documented and digitally preserved for the benefit of future historians and history lovers.

The exhibits will be in place through May and can also be viewed during normal open hours:

1 - 4 Saturdays

3 - 5 Sundays

It's Revolutionary: Reflections on the Revolution Exhibition- An exhibit of all forms of art from creators of all ages (06/20/2026)

This Exhibition will display the works of those who have chosen to express, in their preferred medium, their views of the Revolutionary events and figures. We are seeking visual art, photography, poetry, prose, music, videography, crafts, or any combination of these or other expressive techniques. Contributor's work will be documented and digitally preserved for the benefit of future historians and history lovers.

There will be an opening reception on the opening weekend and the exhibits will be in place throughout the summer and can also be viewed during normal open hours:
